CSIR – North East Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat, a constituent establishment of CSIR, is a multidisciplinary  institute  having  research  areas  like  Chemical  Sciences,  Biological  Sciences,  Materials Sciences,   Engineering  Sciences  and  Geological  Sciences,   etc.  This institute is equipped  with sophisticated state-of-art analytical and other equipment to carry out research activities in frontier areas of science & technology. Presently a large number of research activities are being carried out in CSIR and externally  funded  projects.  Now,  there  is  a  requirement  of  Project  Workers  with  the  following specialization:

Project Title: Nanozyme Decorated Paper-Based Analytical Devices (µPADs) for Detection of Pathogens and Pesticides.

1(A)

Project Completion Date / Code:  MLP 1013 [31-03-2022]

Number  of vacancy: Research Associate = 1 no.

Essential Qualification: PhD  in  Materials  Science  / Nanoscience / Chemical Science.

Desirable:  1). Experience in Design and development of the nanomaterials  and  its  characterization,  2D  Nanomaterials, sensor  application,  Experience  of  the  data  analysis  of  the high end equipment like XPS, HRTEM, FESEM, AFM, XRD, Raman Spectroscopy etc.

 2) NET Qualified [Max Age: 35 yrs]

Remuneration: Rs. 42,000/- per month

1(B)

Number  of vacancy: Project Assistant (Level-II  / III)= 1 no.

Essential  Qualification:  1st class BE / B Tech in Mechanical Engineer preferably with previous exposure in computational simulation and modelling

Desirable: Desirable:  1).  Experience  in  Computer  Aided  Design  and CFD  Simulation  &  modelling  software  like  Solid  works, Comsol  Multiphysics,  CAM  Software,  reverse  engineering software, operation of CNC Machines, operation of engraving machine and 3D Printer etc. 2). GATE Qualified

[Max Age: 30 yrs for Level-II and 35 years for Level-III]

 Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- Or Rs. 35,000/- depending on Level. Candidates with two years’ experience may be placed in Level-III.

Number  of vacancy: Project Assistant (Level-II)=  1 no.

Essential  Qualification:  1st class  M  Sc  in  Chemistry  / Chemical Science preferably with specialization in Inorganic / Physical  Chemistry  /  Materials  Science  /  Nanoscience  and Nanotechnology.

Desirable: 1). Experience in Synthesis of the Nanomaterial, 2D Nanosheets, quantum dots etc. and their characterization by XPS, HRTEM, FESEM, AFM, XRD, Raman Spectroscopy etc. 2). NET / GATE Qualified

[Max Age: 30 yrs]

Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- per month
